Kim W., ACA
Customer Service Representative / ACA
Kim has 2 loves outside of family and has been blessed to have worked in both, animals and the elderly.
She graduated from the Animal Care Aide program in 1995 with honours and has experience working in a mixed practice and animal welfare.
She left the field to be with her family and returned to school, earning honours in the Personal Support Worker program. After working for many years in long term care, an injury caused her to leave that field. An amazing opportunity to return to the animal care field presented itself at GBPH and she jumped at the opportunity to be a team member. Who wouldn’t want to spend their days with furry friends and doggy kisses!
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family (including 2 amazingly adorable grandsons)and friends, whether it be watching baseball, going on outdoor excursions, concerts or a campfire, she tries to make the most of every moment. They share their home with Bentley, a golden retriever, Gracie, a Maltese cross and Zoey, a Netherland dwarf rabbit.
Kim’s bucket list includes visiting Greece and living in Newfoundland, even if it’s part time!
Kira, ACA
Veterinary Assistant / Animal Care Attendant
Kira is proud to be a Veterinary Assistant / Animal Care Attendant at GBPH. She is originally from Washago Ontario, but moved to Port Elgin in 2020. She was in the Veterinary Assistant Program at Georgian College and graduated in September 2020 with honours! She hopes to grow and learn with the clinic and become more talented in the field of vet medicine (like all of her amazing coworkers!). Her favourite thing about being a VA is spending each day continuously learning more about the field of work, and getting daily snuggles from all of the patients.
She loves spending time with her family when she travels home as well as her lovely kittens! She has 2 cats at her home in Washago, Kahlua and Harley, as well as 2 kittens that live with her in Port Elgin, Harry and Eerie. One item on her bucket list is to travel through Ireland or Newfoundland! Eventually, she’d like to continue her college education and become an RVT.

After 16 years she took some time off work, started a family and stayed home to raise their children. She wanted to spend as much time as she could with them. She then returned back to the Veterinary field in 2015, then had joined the team with GBPH in 2017.
